The New Jersey Children's Museum is located at 599 Valley Health Plaza in Paramus, NJ. The museum is off Winters Ave. between the Fashion Center Mall and the Paramus Park Mall. DIRECTIONS TO THE NEW JERSEY CHILDREN'S MUSEUM:

FROM ROUTE 17 NORTH:

After passing Toys ‘R Us store in the Fashion Center Mall, take the “Oradell” exit (between Signature Leather store and Fireplace Restaurant). This is Ridgewood Avenue. Go to the 3rd traffic light and make right turn onto Winters Avenue. Go 1/4 mile and make first right onto Valley Health Plaza (right after you pass the Valley Hospital’s red brick building on the right side). The museum is the second building on the right side. The entrance and parking lot are at the rear of the building.

FROM ROUTE 17 SOUTH:

Take “Ridgewood Avenue - Oradell” exit from Route 17 South. Go up ramp and bear right. Stay on Ridgewood Avenue until you reach the third traffic light. Follow the directions above.

The museum is the second building on the right. The entrance is at the rear of the building, facing Rt. 17.

FROM THE GARDEN STATE PARKWAY:

Take exit 165 "Ridgewood Avenue" and follow signs towards Ridgewood.
At the second traffic light, make a left onto Winters Avenue.
Follow the directions above.

FROM TAPPAN ZEE BRIDGE:

Take Route 87 North to the Garden State Parkway South and follow directions above.

FROM NEW YORK CITY

Take the George Washington Bridge to Route 4 West.
Go ten miles to Route 17 North. The Ridgewood Avenue exit is 3.5 miles from Route 4.
Follow the directions from Route 17 above.

FROM POINTS WEST:

Take Route 80 to The Garden State Parkway North, then follow directions above.

PARKING:

There is plenty of free parking immediately adjacent to the entrance.

FOOD:

No food is available at the museum but a wide range of family restaurants are nearby. There are no picnic areas. Lunchrooms are for school groups and parties only.
You can have your hand-stamped if you would like to leave to get something to eat and return. A food map is available at the Front Desk.

July 20-23 “ Model Magic” We’ll have play dough ( non toxic) for the youngest visitors and modeling clay for the older kids. We’ll show some basic modeling techniques and neat tools to use to mold their masterpiece.

July 27-30 “ Just Stamp It” Use all different stamps and color pads to make cards and wrapping paper. We’ll even make a Pirate Treasure Map!

August

August 3-6 “Beading Bonanza” Come beading with us! We’ll have all different types of beads for bracelets, necklaces and more. Not just for girls, we’ll have cool stuff for boys too!
